Building & configuring the stats server! 😀

I have the system set up with 3x 9.1g drives in a RAID 5 configuration, loaded Win2K Pro on it, downloaded Apached 1.3, PHP and mySQL and will start loading those up once I've completed Windows Patch-Hell here...

Same here, except the fireworks are weather dependent. We're supposed to get thunderstorm later this afternoon & into the evening. Hopefully we'll get a break in there somewhere 🙂

We are off visiting friends across the sound from our home.
Did some grilling & beer last night, more today + Spidey2 + fireworks later then back home 😉
 
I'll grill some fresh (never frozen) Angus Ribeye steaks in about an hour.
But, most of yesterday and today (after church) has been cleaning up the living room because tomorrow the - - - - - -

Not me, though. My wife.

She is still involved in a case of child abuse turned to murder and even though the murderer has been convicted (and given the death penalty) there is an appeal on the death penalty because he is now claiming he is mentally deficient. My wife got involved because she had the youngest child in her second grade class (he survived the attack). The older, pre-teen sister did not survive. It was a pretty gruesome deal.

Let me tell you, I had met the guy twice before the "incident" and I might have classified him as a dumbass, but not what he's claiming. His lawyers are saying that he has an IQ of about 75. Not the case, in my opinion. He just knows that Texas will execute him for being a dumbass but not for being retarded.

Oh, well, that's how my holiday (July 5th) will be going. For today, I clean.

Replaced the P/S in a customer's PC, and got her CD-RW to work by upgrading the firmware so that XP could recognize it.

I'm about to go get the charcoal grill fired up. Nothing fancy, just burgers. 😀

Well, it was just church morning and evening as usual, with the afternoon packed with 4-H project completion (it's just a week till the fair). This evening it was to the parking lot of a grocery store near the park where I could get a good view of the fireworks. It was my first time trying to capture them on film... I might post some in a few weeks, if one or two out of 36 turn out ok. 😉

No grilling or anything fancy though, since dad worked today (and works tomorrow). 🙁
 
Spent time with family.

Watched fireworks from the car with the heater going. There's an old saying around here (NE Minnesota) that goes something like: "Don't take off your long underwear until the 4th of July and then put it back on the next day." That was a mistake today, 56 degrees right now! Time to go cuddle with wifey under the flannel sheets! 🙂
 
Seafood fest looks like fun! We just grilled burgers too and watched and listend to the fireworks go off from the deck. Bummer deal there JonB hopefully things will take a turn for the better!
 
Working till dawn. Kids are disappointed they don?t have any fireworks to set off. They can only watch from the sidelines.
