OT: (Way Way OT) can timedemo be done with the D3 Demo?

I got the D3 Demo and it's running great on both the Prescott with the Radeon 9600 and on the XP1700 @ 2.1Ghz with the 5900 card.
Does Timedemo demo1 only work with the retail game? It won't run here with the Demo.

yes, but when I put in timedemo demo1 it says:

.......Game Map Shutdown......
...........................................
WARNING: Couldn't load gui: 'guis/map/loading.gui
couldn't open demos/demo1.demo
.......Game Map Shutdown......
 
hmm, then all I guess you can do is to run FRAPS and look at the framerate while you play.
