Btw how do you know its the Tbred?

The Tbreds have part code ADUAX1800, which is what they are saying it has :)

Now if only they had the 8RDA+ in stock (they don't :() then I might have had to get that combo! ;)

I ordered a CTX 19" monitor from them (£150 :)), and it was delivered 2 days later.

I might have to try to persuade my mum to lend me the money for the 1800, and an nForce2 mobo, as my K7S5A is dead :|

Damn it ,I'll wait for the Tbred to come down in price then;)

Unless you know somewhere else that does cheaper Tbreds?

I got my XP1700 to 1.9GHz:D & I've now run out of FSB & mulitpliers!:Q (unless I set the RAM to CAS 3-3-3 which I don't want to do).

In the long run I'm going to swap the mbrd for an Asus Nfrc2 std but for now I'm going to see if there is anyway to get a multiplier higher than x12.5 ,I'm going to post a thread in the CPU section if anyone is interested.
Re multipliers with the XP2400 upwards you can link a bridge to set the lower multipliers ,I'm wondering if the reverse can be done for the lower clocked Tbreds.

Assim1, there are unofficial overclocking BIOS versions available for the K7S5A boards.

Dunno if they have the extra multipliers or not, but..... :) ........ it cant hurt surely just to look.

Edit: Yahoo yielded: ECS K7S5A GUIDE

Just a useful tip for some people... although for some reason I thought you had a K7S5A, probably my mind looking at you saying you bought a Tbred chip and instantly putting 2+2 together needlessly.

But to continue the trend of your last post:
I got a A7V133 ;)

hehe ,my mothers rig has got the same mbrd as you ,though its the raid version.
It was in my 2nd rig but I got rid of it cos it could only run Ath XP's/Duron Morgans by enabling the dipswitches & thus losing any FSB speeds over 133MHz!
rolleye.gif

In case your wondering ,those undocumented switch positions do not go over 133MHz:(
Anyway ,runs her unlocked Duron 1.2GHz just fine with a 133MHz FSB:)

Btw it seems my Tbred is a 'B' version:D

Well it was a P166 classic, 128mb and 1 gb HD when i last posted, thanks to some scrounging its now a K6-2 500 (my broth attempted to overclock by 50 mhz, and somehow came to the conclusion he'd blown his CPU and mobo. won't complain cos i got the mobo and CPU which work fine :D) Also i replaced a neighbours HD so i nabber her 4 gig which makes 5 with the old one :) Graphics card is a 2mb PCI S3 Trio 64V :) Its ok, i might be getting some other stuff too if i keep looking in bins :D

Hi guys

Nice prices eh?

I'll have to see wether my mobo at home can support an 1800 Tbred. I've got a 1700+ palomino at the moment.

Regards
Chris

Chris,

Can you remember what motherboard you've got off the top of your head? If so, i'll take a quick look for you if I don't know already :)

My suggestion is of course take a look round at prices, cos the ones I listed were a month and a half back, and so prices will have changed! :)
