Seconded. It crashed my download.

That really sucks.

I lost all of my boomarks, and I had them well organized. That and my bookmark toolbar.

:(

Was this intentional or bad coding or what?

It didn't affect camino. Backup your profiles more often, and tighten up your browser install.

What was the link to? And was this with the latest FF build? If so, it should likely be filled as a problem under Bugzilla.

Hmmm no problems when using IE. :p

j/k Just heard it so many times about IE, just a little fun to turn it around.

I never really had a problem with IE. I do like the GUI of firefox, and I love the bookmark toolbar. It does have some annoyances though.

If you still have the original link, ViRGE may want it. See above.

it crashed my FF, but you guys can get your Bookmarks back, if you started a different profile. Run "firefox.exe -profilemanger" (w/o quotes of course). This will allow you to get your default profile back.

Yeah, that doesn't sound too good. Click one link that can damage Firefox?
So may begin the onslaught of the attacks on Firefox. IE is sustaining the brunt of the strikes, with spyware and such. Now the attentions are turned to Firefox.

I knew it would happen. I said it all along, hackers etc.... will attack whichever browser gets them the best bang for the buck. IE was the 800lb gorilla for a long time and they victimized it heavily. Now that Firefox is garnering attention and major usage they will begin to turn the attention to it more and more often.

I seriously doubt that there is widespread publicly available software out there that is hack-proof. No, not even Mozilla software.
