My thunderbird has gone out of comission :( Today I shut it down to pull the front bezel off for painting, and when I plugged it back in it didn't want to boot up. I hit the reset and it would get to the screen that recognizes the CPU and RAM and says "press DEL to enter setup" but then it wouldn't let me into BIOS.

Tried clearing CMOS, same thing. Finally it booted into windows, and I went to shut it down to put the top panel back on since I was done painting it, and the screen wouldn't come up from the screen saver. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. It was running at 150 fsb, maybe i've killed my first CPU :Q:(

Or maybe you've killed your first hard drive with the high PCI bus speed :Q Try resetting the system to stock speeds and run Maxtor PowerMax, WD Data Lifeguard 10, or whatever HDD-checker is offered by your HDD manufacturer.

That would suck....I'll have to try that.
