OT : Sub Zero Alcohol PC Cooling

Very cool! 😉

The OCTools articles on Liquid Nitrogen/Flourinart submersion was an enjoyable read too. Glad they are following in the footsteps of that great experimenter Dr. Ffreeze, who submersed his PC in mineral oil, then cooled it down using the coils of an air conditioner. Too bad his website has disappeared. 🙁 All 3 would make a great collection of articles on super cooling with liquids. 🙂

Thanks for the article! 😀

UH Hmmm UH
Mineral oil is a great idea it's inert.
Water cooling is cool but it can short your motherboard if it leaks.
But Alcohol? Egads you burn your house down!!

I wonder if there is a better method than vacuum pumping the air out of a bag?
Hmmm 😛

Once the alcohol temp gets low, it won't be "very" flammable because it will stop vaporizing.

I don't recommend it, but if your local temperatures get very very low, you can actually extinguish a burning match in liquid gasoline (petrol).

Please, children, don't do it inside your house. Let mommy or daddy burn down the house.

One day someones going to blow their a** off trying to overclock their computer/CPU. 😛
