OT: Stupid Neighbors... digging and my Cable

So I get this call from my fiance telling me that our cable went out... both TV and Internet. He continues to tell me that our stupid neighbor and a couple of his yahoo buddies are outside digging up the backyard. :Q

So, I call Comcast, who make an appointment for service for tomorrow between 8am-Noon. I question about sooner, and the customer service rep says something to the effect about how SOON that appointment is. Also, that unless it is determined that is an outage, meaning more than us, that will be the soonest it is fixed.

What are we going to do!!! 😛

I might have to take up crochet! cough*bullsh!t*cough
 
No cable internet drives me crazy even though it's crappy cable internet. Good luck with your fight with your neighbor/cable company.

My father against my behest has decided to sell out ISP service yesterday. I do not know how I will be getting internet once the sale is completed.
We'll see what happens though 🙁

Well all is back up again.... guess I just needed a few more neighbors to come home and find no TV, hehehe

However, I am still a bit peeved about them needing more than one person to call in. They could have verified my claim by sending out signals to my neighbor's boxes (LOL the PING of the cable TV world)

Last weekend I moved into a corporate apartment. I got HSI (cable) as part of the package. They told me it was getting setup a few days before I was to move in. Well, I moved in on a Saturday morning and NO CABLE MODEM! They called the cable Lady and she said it would be Tuesday cause she didn't have a modem on her truck and would have to go to the warehouse. I was pi$$ed not to have Internet access, but more so because I only had 5 WUs cached! I lost 3 days of production on that box! (20+) 🙂
 
I hear you on DC work... I was lucky that my fastest boxes were at the beginning of work units and didn't run out of work during the 10 hour outage... in fact my stats look like nothing has occured at all.

However, if it had lasted longer, I could tell I was going to be sweating it.... a day without Internet is like a day without sunshine (like I know what sunshine is 😛)
 
Oh they were putting up a wooden fence... came in with a tiller and were breaking up their entire backyard (townhomes, so a 25x15 area behind their home, 3 units down from us).

My fiance (Mike) had gone over to tell them they had just taken out the Cable... their response, "Oh this has nothing to do with Cable"... well DUH! However in their defense, English is NOT their first language, so who knows what they thought Mike meant.

Cause and affect never helped in this one, because as Mike walked away shaking his head, he noticed they had a dish.

They must have never heard of JULIE 😉
