Ok, I'm trying to figure out what to do with WIndows XP now after using the recovery console and getting back into windows it's got a few hangups.
Here is my thread in the software forum that describes the details.
Any help would be appreciated, I figure someone else here has had this happen to them right?

It looks like your IE is borked Wiz. Try reinstalling IE6 SP1, maybe that'll fix it for you. And the JS thing might be fixed by downloading and installing Microsoft VM.

IE6 SP1 Setup

I can't find a download for Java at Microsoft's site (jee, I wonder why?

) but you can install Sun Java HERE. and hopefully that will fix your banking issues.

Yeah, I found the Snn site and after a lot of trouble got it installed.
When I went to install SP1 for IE6 it got less than imeg and was done way too soon - it thinks it's already installed.
Gonna go into Add/Remove software & see what I can do next.

oh yeah, so far no changes - funny but all the images load fine here on AT forums...

Wiz, I found Microsoft VM at PCWorld. You can download the latest build of VM 93805) right HERE. I am going to uninstall Sun Java and install this instead.

I tried that just now, here is the error I get:

Top of error box says: Retail Classes for the Microsoft VM
Text says: The Microsoft VM is missing or is the wrong version. Please install the correct build of the VM before installing this product.

Well I just don't have the time to get the MS stuff working so I installed Netscape 7.
It's working fine of course. ;)

WTH is wrong with MSIE6???

The latest build of Mozilla would have been a better choice but NS7 is ok too. I just don't like the bloat that AOL has stuffed into it. :|
