OT: Question bout seti and Win XP

Anubis

No Lifer
ok if i have seti runnin and i make XP go to the switch users screne will seti still crunch for that user thatt still kinda in limbo land? that is if i leave that screne up for like .. all teh time will seti still do its job?

Yep, provided you have SETI installed as a service the client will still work if the workstation/server is locked or not logged in. 🙂

Oh, and regular users can't disable/kill the service (you must be an admin). 😉

If you keep the first acount logged in when you switch to the other account SETI will continue to run. Another solution instead of running SETI as a service is to put a shortcut to the exe in the startup folder of the All Users account.

thats basically whats gonna happen. im usin that comp as a server and i need to be able to use remopte desktop to log into it but Remote Desk only allows 1 person to be logged it at once. so i figure i can leave the admin account loged in all the time and juyst let teh comp sit at that screne so i can log in and out when i want.

glad to hear seti will still run
