Ouch. Alfred Nobel is rotating in his grave right now, as this year's Physics prize was awarded in the field of Mathematics...
 
I'd read a grumble about this from someone who is a little into math and physics, though I wouldn't presume to know enough to either defend or decry the committee's decision. Sad to see the credibility of the Nobel apparently being eroded, though.
