The vodka cow must be the result of a new protein folding thingy. DC wins again! ;)

Genetic engeneering ... hmmm. :frown:
The vodka part (getting a biological entity to produce alcohol at the concentration) may be a big advancement - and is quite possible. It is much harder to produce (genetically) any udder that may hold a product with 40% (v/v) alcohol, considering that ethanol at that concentration solves all lipids, most carbohydrates and coagulates all proteins (if it is around long enough). In the stomach the stuff gets diluted very quickly and still does harm to the tissues ... :brokenheart:

A vodka-pissing cow (that is continuously producing) needs some container for the vodka.

On the other hand: who wants body warm vodka - that is a much more serious question! The marketing implications is very serious ... and building biological refrigaration into a cow udder may be the really hard problem: what to do with the excess heat: the heat generated by the cow, by the alcohol-generating processes and by the refrigeration of the vodka containing organs? Probably som kind of cooling device - fans (like elephant's ears) over a richly vasculated and folded organ? :disgust: Oh: get out the CPU-cooler (Now we are on-topic again - oops this DC not hardware!)

On the third hand (talking about genetic engineering! ;) ) this cow would be the ideal house hold pet: makes vodka for the father, heat for the house, milk for the kid and - if you make it with long and fast growing pelt - wool for the wife! :beer:

Everybody happy? - not the feminists: vodka for the wife, milk for the kid, wool to be pulled over the man's head and heat for the house. :wine:

Talkíng about gir ... hmmmm.
Consider some other implications: a cow is persued by a bull, she does not care for his advancements, uses the 40% alcohol as a weapon to squirt into his face .... :(

I'm saving that spiel. It's a shame it's too long for a signature. :)
:applause; :standing ovation;

EDIT: For the issues at hand to make this possible--think we could turn it over to 'Highly Technical', and let them figure it out?? :D :D

Wouldn't that be alcohol abuse, or atleast a party foul?

No, here the question I'm wondering. If people drink warm milk to help them sleep, how are cows awake at all? Anyone know a cows internet body temperature???

In war and love - of course it is alcohol abuse --- staying awake is no problem - at least for me: never ever has warm milk put me to sleep. Nor my kids, nor anyone I know. It is the honey added to the milk which does it - so why dilute it with milk?

The body temp of the cow - when measured inside the body is about 38 degrees C, the udder however is much cooler - about 24 - 28 degrees C.

The cow's
internet body temperature
I do not know, but could it be 96.104.37.39?
