This is not a hot deal but at least save you wasting 2 blank CDRs if you think you are getting CD-RW from Iomega.
To those who may think their Iomega 12X10X32X drives comes with 2 CD-RW. NOT.
I read it in one of the threads saying that Iomega put the software and manual on 2 CD-RW, which you have to burn it to CDR so that you can reuse the CD-RW.
Not true. I just waste 2 blank CDRs. (first coaster caused by Adaptec Deluxe 4.03 which I now replaced it with Nero).
I burned the help manual onto CDR, try to erase the Iomega "CD-RW". NO, it's not CD-RW, just CDR. The big logo ZipCD CD-Rw" is just the trademark, which doesn't mean that it's CD-RW.
It may be a bit late but if you plan to burn the ZIP software to CDR amd then reuse the CDRW, don't waste the blank CDR to duplicate the Iomega software as they are not CDRW.
Anyway, now it's time for me to venture the firmware upgrade and name change .....
