So the orangecello is bottled up, and I have a container free once again. Any ideas on what fruit I should use next? The orange batch was good, although I think I used a bit too much orange, and the citrus was, um, powerful. :) If I didn't add the sugar in there, that stuff would have done a number on a dirty engine.

I've done the classic lemon quite a few times now, and also orange now. Any ideas for the next batch? I was thinking about getting a good silver tequila, and zesting some orange and lime, and making a sort of margarita-cello. But when I do that, it is going to be a very small batch (good tequila is expensive).

Any ideas? :D

EDIT: If I start a batch soon, I can have it ready in time for us moving to our new place!

What about using apples? On second thought, that probably wouldn't taste very good. Perhaps a kiwi would be better...

<-- knows nothing about either kind of cello

I think Kiwi would be better, but I've never been one to thumb my nose at anything with "margarita" in the name :D

I so wish I could. Unfortunately, it isn't legal in Texas. Else all the crunchers would already have atleast some of my cello to sample. (And eliminate the bad publicity). But if anyone is ever in central Texas, and they let me know before hand, I'll be sure to have some ready.

Darn! I was as close as Amarillo last summer (well, if you can call 500 miles close...I guess in Texas it's all relative ;)).

Oh, the humanity of it all!

I vote for whatever comes out fluid enough to pass as coolant in a future water-cooled build. Probably the next one, from the looks of it.

Kiwi & Vodka sounds good.

You could make all of them in mini batches to see which ones taste good. :)

I like anything citrus/orange. That's why I thought the margaritacello sounded good, you mentioned using orange and lime.

Use Fedex, they don't really care what you ship. USPS will ask(or secretly inspect), & UPS will just straight up drink it.

ROFL... Hmmm. Well, would ya'll mind paying for shipping? If I can do it, I'll definitely do it, especially if I can have help with the shipping. :D If it ain't much, then it won't be a problem at all. :D

Heck, I'd love just about anything, but would prefer kiwi-vodka or the margarita, and I'd certainly cover shipping costs here to little old Delaware!

Someone made a good point. I'm going to see if I can find some regulations for the shipping of the stuff. I know it's illegal to sale liquor in any form, so I won't be doing that at all. Let me get a hold of the rules and regulations for this, and we'll see. :)

I'd gladly appreciate any help anyone can offer in the finding of the rules on this stuff. :D

Eeeek. Okay, nevermind. After reading a bit about the laws, it's really illegal pretty much everywhere... :( Damn.

Ya'll are just going to have to come visit. :D

I ship beer all the time using Fedex. So do several hundred people over at beeradvocate.com. Using USPS can get you in trouble, but the worst I've ever heard Fedex do was turn someone away. Having an online Fedex account, where you can package & print postage at home & just drop off the items is great. My "yeast samples" never have a problem getting through. :)

You can blame my lovely wife's photoshop skills for that one...
