I don't get to purchase a new system too often and my lovely wife has given me the go ahead for a new one!😀:Q😀

Here's the shopping list and should all arrive by the middle of next week.

Gigabyte - GA-7N400 Pro2 which is one of their nForce2 Ultra 400 boards
XP2500 Barton
Kingston 512 hyperX cas 2 memory -------will be adding another 512 in a few months...pssst don't tell the wife😉

120 GB SATA maxtor drive
ATI 9600 Pro 128 <----149.99 from ATI... after they give me a $50 trade in value on an old Vid card... Sending in a 4mb Trident card...😀

Antec Lanboy case with 350PS
Going to try the vantec HSF:VA4-C7040 TMD

and of course all the other little goodies like floppy, cdrw etc and the sound activated uv light to dress up the inside of the case😀

Just depends on how lucky you get 🙂. The best I could get my old setup was to 3500+, but it just depends 🙂

That mobo with similar RAM with a 2800+ crunches a WU about every 2.5 hours (I have the board). 🙂

I have the 2500 Barton on a Soltek Ultra-400 and 2 x 256 Kingston HyperX running in dual channel mode. Mild overclock from 1.83 GHz to 2.0 GHz (182 x 11). I'm averaging 2:20 per wu over my last 500 wu's.
