Hello all,
Before you all read this, please keep in mind that if you have anything bad to say about
this post, I would rather you either PM me or e-mail me and do not publically post it.
Thanks for your consideration.
My Flame:
I have been posting now for about 3 weeks here on the FS/FT thread under the handle SKRIZ as an individual. I will admit, I do own my own computer business, but in no way have I ever represented the business anywhere on AnandTech. I do understand how my selling quantities of memory on the threads could relay the message that I am a dealer, but then again, nowhere in any of my posts, sigs, or PM's had I ever mentioned my business, unless requested to do so, and then ONLY in private e-mail or PM's. I simply stated that I had a large supply of the memory. I have sold over $200 worth of either junk, used, or new stuff, and have had no problems doing so ,with, what has turned out to be, the best and most honest buying/selling community I have come across. I guess that my real flame is that all of the sudden I went to log into AnandTech and it said rejected... NOW WHAT? I have over 25 pending sales and no access to those PM's or e-mail addresses/names. It appears that the MODS have locked all of my threads, even the ones where I was selling FREE and USED things! Now, what is up with that??? Since when do dealers GIVE away items; especially heatsinks, harddrives, and printers? I have tried 3 times to e-mail them, but no response.. I have also PM'd them a few times but to no avail. I understand that they may be very busy and may have hundreds of messages to respond to each day, BUT, what's next is what ticked me off most of all. I had a list of about 40 things for sale/trade. Some free stuff, a lot of used stuff, and a few new items, with complete descriptions. The mods completely deleted my lists and entire posts! I spent hours creating the lists and editing them, lowering prices, adding buyers' names, etc.
I felt that I was complying with the rules set by the mods completely. If you read the rules which were presented at the top of the FS/FT forum for the last few days, you will find, and I quote:
"Regarding "dealers" - No Links to websites!! You may sell as individuals, but please do not post links to your website in your FS ads or signature." RULES
The only way the mods could have even considered me advertising my web site, is through the picture links posted when requested... but who's to say that I am telling people to go to my main site???? It was a subdirectory off of the main site.. It is the viewer's choice to shorten the URL in their Address Bar if they want to take a look, NOT MINE! It is just a pre-paid place to post the pictures! Nowhere did any set of rules say you could not post pictures on your own web site. In fact, I was even posting pictures for other users for free! Another advertising scheme right??? NO. Just helping out fellow AnandTechians. Whats more??? I have 100% positive Heatware! It may not be much, but it is ALL positive! Check it out HERE. I also have all positive feedback on E-Bay.
So, in conclusion, I am asking the mods, as well as you, to re-evaluate this situation which was created, and post your comments, minus the slams, so I can have my old username back to normal and finish my pending sales as well as return to normal selling and trading life. I hope I have turned on a light in the heads of many of you, and I hope for the best.
Be it far from me to ever say this with the situation I am in currently, but...
Good luck guys! 😀
Sincerely with all respect due,
ArcticSilver - A.K.A - Skriz

You admit you are a dealer, and we caught you referencing your website. In addition we banned your name and now you make another. We will discuss the issue at hand and email you when we have decided what to do. Until then you will take a time out.
