OT: need the fastest pair of 66mhz fsb P2 512k cache cpu's available - GOT'EM thanks to a TA member!

You read it right - 66 mhz fsb!!!

This is for a little dual proc server I have on which one of the procs gave up after only about 5 years of running!

It currently has P2 233 w 512 k cache, it has to run 66 fsb. So help me out eh? Got a pair of old cpu's laying about with nothing to do??
If worse comes to worse I'll get another 233 in there, but I'd rather "upgrade" it at this point THanks in advance

I just checked to be sure and found the mobo definitely can only do 66fsb. Apparently has a multiplier up to 6 so does anyone know if I could take a pair of P2 400's that are supposed to be 100fsb and run them at 6 x 66 (396mhz??)
I think I can get P2 400's at compgeeks still.

i have a slot 1 233 sittin right here, i think they only made these in the 66 fsb version, pay me for shipping plus a few bucks and its yours...

Computer Geeks has 333 P2`s for 21 bucks a pop. Check Ebay. I think 333 is as high as you can go. FX chipset I think.

I've got the LX chipset. It does have at least a 6x multiplier.

never mind, found out they are multiplier locked.

Well I can get a matched pair of 333's on fleabay for $35 plus $7 shipping. This is the highest power I can apply to that mobo.

yup, LX chipset is 66 and maxes out with the 333 Mhz PII , never heard of overclocking those, but i am not a big OC'er

got rid of my single LX mobo over a year ago

At least maxes out @ 333MHz for the PII's. Celerons can go higher.

yeah, but the 512k cache on the p2 is hard to beat for server kinds of operations (of course Xeons with larger cache are even better! too bad I can't use them on an LX mobo )

I've got an LX Aopen mbrd here that'll take up to a Celeron 533 (not FCPGA)

No good for Wiz though
