Suprisingly, it has nothing to do with computers! I bought it on Friday night, and took it in Saturday night to get the weight (60lbs) and draw length adjusted. Now I need to get it all sighted in and ready for hunting :)

Here it is:

I can't wait to take it out deer hunting :)

Do you have any idea how many FPS a bow will shoot an arrow?

Nope, sorry. It's pretty fast thought ;)

An arrow has so much more mass than most bullets even if it travels more slowly it has alot more energy.

I think I'll go outside and find some sticks and string. :)

Be careful!

I was doing that 3-4 years ago, as I was putting a slit in the end of the wood for the bow, the stanley (exacto) knife slipped out of the wood, and took off a nice chunk of the end of my left thumb!

Brett, looks good, have some fun with it, but be safe!!!

My step-son loves to hunt with a bow. When he was in high school he had to get stiches in his hand from a hunting arrows he was playing with.

Now, if they could only teach the deer to shot then it would be fair! :)

How many WUs will it crunch? (j/k) ;)

<-- used to be interested in archery, not from the hunting aspect, but more just for fun (shooting at targets and stuff). It's a great thing to do, if you can make time for it (sadly, I can't seem to do that any more).

Arrows are too expensive to be losing them trying to hit a sparrow! 6 arrows cost me $33, with no points. I had to but field points (for practice) which were another $4.

Broadheads (for hunting) are probably going to be in the $30 - $50 range. Those are the ones you'll cut your fingers off with if you arent careful!

Nice lookin bow Lynx01 :) But i'm not too familiar with the brand. We have an 'Eagle' bow factory about 15 miles from my house. Have you heard of them?

I started in archery with a 'Long Bow" (Pre High School). Learned to shoot by line of site. Joined my School Archery team and learned to used adhesive tape and hat pins for sites. :D After graduation, taught Archery Merit Badge for Boy Scouts at a summer camp.

Eventually, got a Recurve Bow and Then Bought a Compound. (Love to Hunt) And from what I can see from your pics................you are going to just love that bow. :D But you need to practice with it. Get some target arrows(the cheap ones with field tips) and practice from different angles, distances and elevations.

And buy the way Titanmiller, I did track and field in school, too. It was the 50 yard dash, the 100 yard dash and the Broad Jump, when I did it. But things soon changed, from Yards to Meters and the Broad Jump, ( because of its obvious implications) changed to Long Jump. ;) Also did some distance running and a few relays. But, that was eons ago. :( :Q Old Guy with cane and prune face(forgot false teeth) walking and talking :Q

Wow, expensive. Hopefuly you can find them. Maybe you should make arrows that have flashing LEDs or something like that inside so that you can find them easier.

Yesterday I did 6 miles, I still have roughly a month until practice starts so I should have plenty of time to get into fairly good shape. Hopefuly I will be going out to run at 3:00 every day. Being the #4 runner I figured I should actually put in some effort during the summer.

Never heard of Eagle bows. Mine is a Martin Magnum Tracer. Martin supposedly makes pretty good bows. I was going to get a Hoyt, but that would have been over $400. I'm using these arrows for practice, my good ones for hunting will most likely be over $50.

I have a real passion for hunting, and I'm sure i'll enjoy bowhunting a lot, but I thought I better be a bit conservative on my first bow ;)

I'm using field points with these arrows right now btw. To sight it in I will want arrows close to what I will be using hunting anyways because the arrows can make a difference when sighting! :)
