OT: MS security fixes not on windows update?

There has been a barage of security fixes for MS operating systems lately. I run w2k and I get the security update email's. I'm just wondering why MS doesn't put all these updates onto there Windows Update site. Wouldn't that be easier???

Anyone know why?
 
yeah i go there to get all the updates but it's such a pain to download one, install it, and then have to restart for each one.
