brain prosthesis

Interesting times coming soon. I wonder how many WU's my brain can process? Since I have not used it in about 5 years, it should be well rested.

So this is kind of like using a mod chip in your Jetta, then? :D

Lemme know when they get ready to go to human trials.. I've got no life now so I've got no reason not to see how nice having the Encyclopedia Britannica in memory would be. Add in Gray's Anatomy and few dozen college textbooks and I'm ready to roll! :D

Thanks for the link!!
I really like that site. And this invention is a huge step forward!!

I hope there will be enough memory in it, and that they will make a DivX decoder, watching Steven Spielbergs AI in your dreams ;)

Can you overclock this chip to make yourself think faster and add extra cache memory so you remember more? ;)

Could lead to things like people having implanted memories, knowledge, nobody would need top learn anymore...it's good and bad, could lead to a weird society were only the select few get it and everyone else gets no education at all....or something....conspiracy theory of mine....

The medical applications are quite intriguing though....but...I'm not having an Intel inside sticker stuck to my forehead.....:D

Screw Encyclopedia Britannica. What I wants is some photographic memory. Full motion video. An X-10 camera IN MY HEAD. ::cue evil laughter::
