A hard drive died today, and I hate the new version. If anyone has 2000b, it would be much appreciated.

Oh, just a note, the ICQ FTP site claims to have it, but you download the file called "icq2000b.exe," and it's not actually the 2000b install file, it's the newest one (2003), the sneaky ICQ bastards.

Hmm... Does anyone know how to figure out what version of ICQ you're running? Apparently even within 2000b there are several different versions (4.60, 4.63, 4.65, 4.70), and there's a different version of this wonderful little PowerCrack program (which gets rid of all the ads) depending on which version of ICQ it is...

lol,I stuck with the old version too ,got options like 'open new browser window' on right click ,& not having to constantly tick 'ok' for DND & occupied users!.

My big thing with sticking with the old version is that it's familiar, I'm quite used to it, I've been using it for nearly three years... Plus the ICQ PowerCrack nicely eliminates all the ads and other crap, plus it allows you to add people to your contact list without needing their authorisation, which is convenient in times like this when you lose your contact list or something. I used to keep the 2000b install file, along with the file that contains the contact list, and the PowerCrack .zip file on a Zip disk, but I lost that when I moved a while ago, and never got around to making another one.
