OT: Looking for a 3.06ghz P4?

$700? For a friggin' CPU? Two words: RIP OFF!!!

For that price, you could get an MSI K7D Master motherboard ($~160), a pair of AMD Athlon MP 1200 processors ($~70 each), a 512 MB stick of Registered ECC PC2100 ($186.29), a pair of Thermalright SK7 heatsinks ($~22 each), a pair of Thermaltake Smart Fan II's ($~15 each), A Sunon medium-speed case fan ($~5), and an Enlight case with 300W PSU ($~60)!

The total is $630. You've still got $70 left, why not spend it on a nice sound card? A Turtle Beach Santa Cruz OEM ($62) sounds pretty good. 🙂

To add insult to injury, this high-end SMP rig you bulit for less than the price of that CPU will not only outperform it but completely blow it away in real world apps AND benchmarks!

Intel Inside. Idiot Outside. 😉

Yikes! $700 for 1 CPU? wow:Q I suppose it'd be great for those that want the newest fastest compters but I'll stick to my $49 XP1600s from newegg:Q😉

Thanks for the heads-up! 😀 I don't think those are compatible with my A7V333-R, however... the heatsink attaches differently 😉 If you spot any Bartons, however... 😀
