OT: Just curious...can the mods change your sig?

I've noticed several times now, the "If at first......" part of my sig keeps disappearing. I have to go into my profile to add it back in. I'm wondering if someone finds it offensive. I fully support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms and "yes" I'm a gun totin' Texan. And proud of it. If a mod can/is changing my sig, how about a PM to let me know what Anandtech Forums Rule I'm violating. If I'm violating a rule, I certainly don't mind changing it, but at least let me know!!!

To be honest with you I never thought of it in terms of toting a weapon. I thought of it like reloading a webpage or program that wasn't working.

I am a Texan also, just not gun totin :D

Didn't realize you were right here in Houston with me! I never thought about your interpretation, but since you mentioned it, my sig is kind of vague, isn't it? That just makes me more curious why it keeps getting deleted! :frown:

Wow!! I didn't realize that you two lived in Houston too.:)

A mod could change your sig, but it would seem unlikely that they would change it like that.

I knew exactly what it meant :) I know they can remove it from a page, and know they can change your user name, so I would assume they could change it in your profile as well.

I think he's looking for some excitement. :Q

If ever there was a vehement supporter of the Second Amendment - it'd be Russ.

For me, "Gun Control" means hitting what you're aiming at. ;)

Alaska, the Great Land.

Where men are men, and women win the Iditarod.

Republicans are Republicans, and so are the Democrats! :Q

And the only thing Gun Control means is a good, steady aim! :D

Add another gun totin Texan to the list :) and yes I have had my sig line changed. The mod emailed a warning and might have PMd me as well. Gun control to me means hit the "target" the 1st time if you are shooting anything that ends with nitro, express, 10 gauge, etc or any combination of the aformentioned rounds.

Alaska -

Absolutely beautiful place to visit between July and September. :Q

It takes a REAL MAN to live there during the 'dark time.'
That 20+ hours of daylight during the summer is pretty cool though.
More time for FISHING! :)

LOL! :D

I was born in Texas and I agree. There is a county or two here in Ohio that are trying to get a concealed weapons law passed to allow citizens to carry guns. I don't support he "concealed" part, I think they should be out in the open. Training on proper use of a weapon should be mandatory for first time buyers. It used to be our dads would take us out hunting or shooting, and teach responsible use. At least mine did. I don't think that is happening anymore, and too many idiots out there don't know how to properly handle a gun.
