OT: If any of you are handy with a solder gun...

Here's a lesson learned (the hard way). When you replace the swollen caps, do not try to desolder them from the board. Just clip the leads at the bottom of the capacitor, leaving a fairly long lead sticking up. Steel wool the lead, use some resin flux plus rosin core solder, then solder the new capacitor to those leads. 63% eutectic solder is the best, but 60% is ok.

Trying to remove the leads cleanly on a 4 or 6 layer PC is hard to do correctly, and can very easily damage the board beyond just having swollen capacitors.
 
All I can say is I hope somebody has the skills. I attempted this and failed misserably. Even with my soldier sucker and micro iron.

Perhaps I need to go back to grade school for a education... or do something about some shakey hands (not that shakey, just not steady enough for this)... 😱
