OT: Identifying laptop graphics chipset - Laptop SETI times Ahoy!

Ok, here's the deal. I bought this laptop at a garage sale and the hdd had been wiped clean. I attempted to put an os on it, but 9x OSs just gave me a black screen, and 2k just identifies the chipset as "VGA", no good. I need to identify the chipset in the laptop so I can use it for...something. 😀 The laptop is a HP N3150. Its a 433Mhz celeron with 64megs. I can't find a damn thing on the specifics of laptop. Any help would be appreciated. I'd hate to see my $10 go to waste. 😀

Been there, done that.

Just found the HP Diagnostic utility....I'll see if this turns up anything. I do hate boot logos. 🙁

Excellent! Now I can crunch while on the run.
I would love to see the times for a work unit on that 433 celeron 😛
I'm not sure I would want to see those times. 😱

<-- still wants a laptop, but wants a DSLR plus some nice glass more than he wants a laptop; has money for neither. 🙁

For the future, may I recommend HWInfo32? 😉

I wish I would of known. 😀

Since I don't yet have a NIC for this thing yet, lemme fire up SETIDriver and copy some workunits over to it via CD just so I can see what it does. I'm guessing around 15 hours. Any other guesses? 😀

Seems my guesstimate of 15 hours was pretty close. 😛

AR Time
2.895 13.03
0.784 16.02
0.426 16.38

Not too bad I guess. 😀

If I was running a P133, 2days would be pretty accurate. 😀
