a program/application or whatever that will allow me to have 2 mouse inputs on the screen. I need to have 2 mouse pointers on the screen - is this possible?

TIA :D

LOL,

** add **, you can have two mice working but not two pointers, I guess. My lappy got this when I installed new cordless mouse and the mouse pad still work at the same time. They both share the same pointer.

Yeah, same thing as having a USB and PS/2 mouse connected. Both work but as a single pointer.

Why? Well lets imagine how much more work I could get done doing my CAD drawings;) Sometimes at work my right hand gets tired from doing all the work and I switch over to the left side. I figure that since I am pretty good at mousing with my left hand - it'd be helpful to have dual pointers. one to use in the menu bars and such and the other on the drawing field.

Maybe I'm just weird:eek: But I swear it'd be really cool:D

I don't think you'll be getting that with any ordinary mouse. The functionality you require would need proprietary drivers for individual CAD and 3D applications, because neither Windows nor X Window System can do this (I'm not sure about MacOS X). That (or another product of similar functionality and price) is your only option.

Actually I don't want their kind of functionality - as I could easily hook up a joystick and integrate it via lisp or what not. One of the old CAD guys had a joystick rigged up to use in autocad - it wouldn't be too tough supposedly. But again - that isn't what i want. I want two pointers:) I don't do alot of 3D so those expensive toys are worthless to me. I need something to be a second selection tool.
