Hey, your birthday is only 8 days away from mine (same year and month, though). What's the minimum age for getting your license in the UK? In the US, it's 16.5 (I just got mine a week ago).

In fact, I'm just getting ready to drive to a meeting... a 4-H meeting, that is... to get some papers signed... papers for a project... and guess what that project is about? 😉

Legal Age is 17 here....and thats only the age you can start learning, take about 2 -3 months to get up to test standard 🙁

I like computers. They keep me from getting bored. I'm currently enrolled in a CS program in colege, so yes, I am pursuing a career in computers, although more and more lately I'm getting real sick of staring at a monitor for eight hours a day. I also like to be outside, and get some sun for my pasty white skin (the curse of the Irish). So, I guess, yeah, computers are a big part of life for me, but I could live without them. They're a nice luxury which I rely heavily on, but not a necessity.

BTW, its good to see some runners here. I'm an avid runner myself, and am running a 15K race tomorrow. I dont know if I can do it though, as my right knee is acting up (an evil little syndrome called ITBS - Iliotibial band syndrome) and I find it very hard to jog even 100 meters. I know what you mean about motivation. It's always so hard for me to run on my own during the off-season, even though I enjoy it. I always find myself doing something else. But this year, I had to train my girlfriend and get her in shape for this upcoming race, so I made us a schedule, running 5 nights a week, and its a lot easier to commit to that when you have someone else ready to do it too.

Bwahahahahahahaha! 😀

For me they are a part-time business, a hobby, and a passion. What would I do differently without them? I would spend more time in Books-a-Million and B&N reading and drinking their coffee instead of mine, in order to get the mental stimulation I require to maintain my sanity 😉 My weight lifting, mountain biking, surfing, martial arts, ect. I make the time for regardless and the computer doesn't take time from them so the getting fat and/or interfering with excersize issue is N/A. I would also spend more time watching the news and news programing instead of reading it on-line I suppose, since I like to keep up with what's happening. In the final analysis, I'd spend more money on books, magazines, coffee, gas, movies, and cable pay channels just like I did before I got broadband access, so all hail the glorious computer!!!!! 😛 Note: I love my family but I get plenty of quality time with my son and my wifey so it hasn't creaated a rift in my personal life.....yet :Q
