I picked up a refurb 21" CRT (IBM P260, Trinitron tube) from Microcenter yesterday and wow is all I can say. I finally don't have to scroll side to side on most web pages, and yeah, games are so much prettier :). The only bad thing is that it weighs 70 lbs, I was scared that it would crack my glass desktop.

This thing makes my laptop's 1280x800 screen look like I have the Windows font size bumped up for the visually impaired. I still can't believe how BIG this thing is. :p

Mine is now... (sigh) somewhat dated, and I can only come close at 20", But I've loved my Sony from day one. :)

High Res rocks.

I've been meaning to build a machine for my 55" TV (which has computer input capability) To play UT on the 55... priceless. Maybe if I ever have money again, I'll do that.

I cant get used to anything over 1024X768, I sometimes have to raise the resolution, but the damn text gets too small to read if I raise it too much.

lol, my Mitsu 91TXM 21-incher weighs 95lb  Mine's not the greatest for text, so I run it at 1280x1024, but games look great at 1600x1200

Samsung 213T (21.3") at 1600x1200 over DVI rocks as well.

But CRTs still have the edge if you want fine color and no ghosting.

Congrats on your new acquisition! :D

For text I use my Hitachi 19" @ 1600x1200 @ 75hz

For movies, games & HDTV I use my Optoma H31 & a 92" screen.
My HTPC does a good job with dvd's using ffdshow & zoomplayer Pro I upscale 2.5x & the playback is smooth as silk.

Half Life 2 is really great on that thing, it has some 16:9 resolution choices and I just gotta say IT ROCKS!!!

(I saved up for a long time & sold a lotta stuff on Ebay to get that projector)

WTF is with these ultra-high res laptop screens? Are they going for IBM T221 density on portable LCDs these days?!?

:D
