OT: help with perl

Can anyone help? I had a guestbook set up on my brothers memorial site that worked nice. It was provided by This place for my old host. Now I have a new host and am having issues setting it up. I just can't figure it out. If anyone can help please let me know. The site is here if that helps at all. I have been told that I need to chmod stuff but can;t get a clear explaination on how. Thanks in advance for any help.

what errors do you get? if it flat out just won't work, my first guess is that the perl path is wrong.

I use WSFTP and doing a right click on the files gives me the choices needed for all of the UNIX commands to run perl on the host. The host I use is hypermart.net. I run a standalone web blogger (mcowen.com/gmlogger) using Grey Matter (noahgrey.cm) perl. The perl web blog is free, the host site is free.

What versions are you using? Like Narzy said the main thing is that the perl can see the cgi engine on your host.
