i bought a mem stick on 10/25/04, they "shipped" it out on 10/26/04. 11/20/04 i still have no memory stick so i file a claim. just yesterday ( 01/24/05 ) they "approved" the claim and are supposedly "refunding" me now.

Things don't work like that when you buy from buy.com

FYI My account has an order that STILL SHOWS: 5/26/2003 Sent to Warehouse.

They don't update order status over there and chances are years will pass and my order will still be 'waiting to be shipped.'

They don't charge your credit card when you place your order so they have things setup that way, if long time has passed, you're not getting your stuff...

I remember that deal. I didn't get in on time and I had to buy a Logitech one for $45. Glad to hear it didn't work because I was late and didn't get in on it.

i got one from another place, but don't sweat it, its a really crappy mouse.

you can't play games with it at all, its a 'smooth' scroll wheel that doesn't click.

A friend of mine had a very bad experience with buy.com, but it ended up great. He ordered a brand new palm at almost a 100$ discount (buy was having a sale). They shipped it to him and it had a bunch of dead pixels, he returned it, it sat around in their werehouse for the better part of a month. He called them for weeks and they woudln't do anything but after some wrangling he got them to "ship" the item -- it still didnt come. He *finally* got a manager on the phone AFTER THREATINING to show up at a wherehouse of theres which isnt far from here and not leave until he got his palm. They refunded his money at the FULL price not the discount price and a few weeks later the palm arrived. So he made 100$ *and* got a free palm.
