I recently rebuilt the OS (W2K AS) on my BP6 and decided to use the updated HPT366 drivers (1.25) and I'm getting some seriously slow disk i/o. My 24x burner now takes 15-18 minutes to burn a full cd and anything that hits the hd's is slow as h3ll. I'm in the middle of going back to the old drivers, but wanted to know if a) Anyone was using the 1.25 drivers w/out an issue or b) anyone experienced this same problem. If you would happen to know your BIOS ver it would be appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not too sure on this one. I will be hopefully installing W2kAS on my BP6 today if the 2 Celeron 400s from GWN arrive today, and was wondering whether i should get the latest drivers for that.

Check out bp6.com and see if anyone has posted anything in the forums about it

Will check it out, thanks. Let me know how your install goes and if you need the old drivers.

For those keeping score at home, or if someone else runs into the same problem, falling back to the 1.22 drivers fixed the prob.
