I don't know why but the forum is just really fast. It has been that way since I have switched over to Red Hat....

Anyone else noticing a speedup?

I noticed and appreciate the speedup here. Thanks very much, Anand! :D

OTOH, the real time chat thing is only going to be the final blow to our already almost-dead (not that it's not stable - on the contrary, it always seems to work fine - but nobody seems to feel like visiting any more) TA IRC server. :(

I think so. But I sure hope that the problem makers over at #teamanandtech not travel on to the new chat server... But then again I would be they would get band pretty fast.

Most of the trouble-makers at #teamanandtech have already been banned or have left when the OPs started enforcing the rules. The only problem is that the people who said they'd stop by more if the rules were enforced and the troublemakers banned have not shown up for quite some time now. :(

And BTW, you shouldn't have to worry about the former #teamanandtech troublemakers showing up at the forum chat thing, because they have been banned from the forums in their entirety for some time now.

I see. Well then everything seems to be good. I stopped by the IRC room a few times but I never found anyone around... My hours are crazy anyways so it would be kinda hard to catch anyone. But until I am a subscriber I might just start stopping by there some more.

Do you know of a good IRC client for Linux?

Try IRSSI or X-Chat.
