A few of you saw this case a while ago when I was working on my hard drive window. The case is finaly complete. I finished it last night. It is a k6/2 500 in a metalic briefcase, with external ports so you do not even need to open the case to use it.

inside
cooling fans
ports (power, Nic, 56k and monitor)
looks almost normal
4 fans fron outside

Stupid thing took forever, and I spent about $150 to build just the case. I made it to go under the pasenger seat in my truck and play movies and stuff when I get bored sitting in a parking lot or something. I even put an external modem hook up so I could connect to my cell phone and post here :p The sad thing is I measured incorrecctly, and the case is too tall by 3/4" of an inch to slide under the seat. To put it under there I would have to unbolt the seat, then put the case in, and then bolt the seat back down. That will not work, I want to be able to remove it. Oh well, back to the drawing board. I think I will have to buy some steel and make it myself since this is the smallest briefcase I could find.

Anyway, I need another wierd idea to occupy my time. A cool computer case would be the ticket. Something wierd that no one has done. Any Ideas?

Sorry about the case problem..

How about making a good Lan box. I mean its got to be really small. I am wanting to build something like this but I cannot find a motherboard small enough for me. :(

Hehe, upgrade the system specs a little, add some wheels, and incorporate a n lcd into it and you would have an awesome lan gaming setup ;-).

Yeah you need to add a LCD screen that you lift up and flip around. :) Then under it there is a keyboard....

One like it yes. ( in a bigger suitcase ) Got through just fine. I did have to demonstrate it about 8 times though.

Have you checked out the VIA ITX motherboards? Or is that not small enough for you. In that case, maybe you should be looking at Ipaqs. ;)

Could you unbolt the seat of your truck and shim it 5/8" higher using longer high-grade bolts?

Couldn't find a link to a place where the motherboard could be purchased directly, but newegg has some Shuttle barebones systems that use this motherboard.

how about a case that zaps someone with an electrical charge when the touch it. A little incentive to keep people away from your computer :)

Technicly, yes. But I do not want to for safety reasons. I am already running low 11's @ the track. I do not want to test out the strength of the extenders, ya know what i mean? :p Also, my truck is a dodge with the 40/20/40 bench, and it would be real complicated having to raise everything. To much work with the eat controlls and such.

Well, since we've already seen people mess with coffee makers, why don't you try modding a microwave?

BONUS points if you figure a way to mod the microwave so it includes a PC AND can still pop popcorn! :Q :D

Nice :)

My RCA dvd player died a while back and I thought about trying to build a computer inside of it but I really don't think it's tall enough. :(

NWM,
If he can figure how to do that without RFI then he must be smart. But he can't use lead. :D

Evadman,
Now if I gave you my ideas then I would have to charge you. :D I do have some ideas, it's just a matter of having the time and money. :D

Now that is the size I am talking about! But I don't wanna run that junky processor. Nor do I want onboard video. (Can disable I believe but I don't want to use a PCI video card.) Hmm So I need onboard NIC an AGP slot and the ability to put in either a P3/Celeron, Athlon, P4. Anything like that out there?

Good question. I looked around a bit but couldn't find any motherboards separate from the case :(
