OT: Finally did it!

Well,

I finally got the overclocking itch and juiced my 1G Athlon TBird up to 1.14G. Seems that's the best it will do.

All you overclockers out there... is that reasonable?

I figured every bit helps with BBR breathing down our necks 🙂

Domination, that's not bad considering you're only OC'ing w/ voltages 🙂

Some 1Ghz T-birds could get up to 1.4Ghz. But that depends on what core stepping you have. I'd say an extra Ghz and a half is pretty good though🙂

IMHO any overclock is nice. A little extra something for nothing. Did you just raise the front side bus up?

raised the FSB to 107 Mhz and the CPU mult to and the CPU mult to 10.5

I actaully had to back off a bit to make it run stable... I was hoping for more, but beggers cant be choosers)

Any increase is good.... 🙂

Yep, free performance is great! 😀

You obviously don't have one of the brilliant 1GHz overclockers! It's the AXIA core that rules at overclocking...and guess which one i have! 😀 I have a 1GHz Athlon AXIA at 1.467GHz (146.7x10) 😀

But, even so, it's still a good overclock, getting 140MHz for free! 😀

Confused 🙂
