OT: Dvd, cd-rw and floppy don't work....

I little help would be good,

There is one comp at work that has Win XP on it, i's only a K6-2 400 w/ 192 megs of pc100 ram.
the problem is, if you switch user from the one that booted it up to any other, (even Admin), the drives don't work,
it always says the drive , whichever is empty, even if there is a disk or cd in them. The hd is fine.

Any suggestions.

Btw, everything else works good!

What chipset does the motherboard run? VIA??? If so, have you installed the 4in1's?

Doesn't XP have the 4-in-1 built in? 'Course, VIA's probably released a newer version since XP was built.

I think I'm going to try W2K Advanced Server on my new dual Athlon. Just can't get XP installed reliably.
