Just a crazy brain storm last night.....
It's been years since I've heard anyone talk about the Clipper Chip.
Couldn't help but to post about it because I remember some good debates about technology like this. (You guys/gals are all techno geeks 😉 so that's why I didn't post in the Off topic.)
Here's the poke for posting in the Distro Forum: If your running Distro Projects, you obviously have opinions on this subject. 😛
Ever wonder why the movie "Hackers" wasn't put on the shelf (retail sales) until about 4 years after the release? 😕
I remember asking for it at Suncoast and they said it was a special order for $150.00! 😱
Little did they know, I was able to get it at Target for $10.00 just a few months after the movie ended. I later found out Target got in big trouble for selling it, per the reason why I went back
to get another copy and found them all gone! (Daja Vu?)
Anyway.. off to put the SETI client on Solaris. 🙂
