crack rack PCs don't need no stinkin cases. All the $$ you would spend on 1U cases can go to more crackers! 😉😉

You know what I mean. You could take up 1/4 the space, maybe even less, if you put all those crackers into some 1us & into some cabinets. I've read that some people are getting workshops to build them cheap cases for little more than the metal itself. Someone is offering me about $60 a case online(case+ps), but I still want something cheaper. I can't have my home looking like a rats nest.

$60 a case

And like I said, I would rather take that $60 per PC and spend it on another cruncher or two. There are ways to put together the crack racks that save space, and keep things neat too. 🙂

But I must admit, a server rack with a bunch of 1U servers in it at home has a HUGE coolness factor to it. (Not to mention tidy! 😉)

Seen stuff like that at work. Usually they are very, very dirty. At least her house looks "kinda" clean. Still amazing though.
