OT: Changing anandtech username

Is there any way to do this? I would like my screen name here match my name in SETI. I also would MUCH rather keep my seti name than my anandtech name. Anyway to do this, or do I need to create a new account and have 0 posts again?
 
Check that the name you wish to use isn't in use here, and then send a PM to Anandtech Moderator asking nicely for a name change 🙂

If you come back and find you can't log in (or if you stay logged in and it says something about cookies expired) then they have changed your name for you 😉

If they do it, it won't be instant, but they are normally pretty good at doing name change requests 🙂

Confused speaks with experience and he's right. I know a little about that too. 😉 🙂
 
Ditto to posting to the Forum Issues. They even did a name change for me when I was initially rude. What actually happened is a moderator posted with a link to email a moderator. If you can email the moderators directly, that will do it -- assuming that the name is available.
 
What if the name is taken, and the user has been inactive for like...almost 3 years? :|

Mods are very helpful in my experience. One of them helped me out when I first started coming to the forums.
