Those beings are not from another planet. They don't count in conversations such as this, since ET has 2 requirements: Not from earth, and from another planet. Not just not from earth.
Who said anything about "from another planet".
Why do you think ET must be "from another planet"?
I understand that seems to be a widely held idea, after all since we humans are from a planet, all life forms must be from a planet?
That seems too narrow a point of view.
Play out M theory for a little while and consider that there could be infinite dimensions parellel to our own in which beings like and unlike us live.
Lets agree just for a moment that there are places and things out in the infinite cosmos that we have not even imagined, if that is true then why could life not come from some thing or place, in some way other than our narrow definition of it?
C.S. Lewis wrote some Sci-Fi that I admired, in which (if I am remembering correctly) the "alien" life knew better than to get too near the earth. That seems to be a wise position given that most of the human beings here would most likely not be beneficial to any beings "out there".
Maybe after we mature for a bit longer, grow up & figure out how to live peacefully with each other.
That might just take a while though.
