Mods: This isn't really advertising, just went to a meeting this last month and was impressed and got to see some cool toys, just wanted to let some other people know, if it's inappropriate, please just let me know.
I went to a Pocket PC seminar in Redmond a couple of weeks ago, and there was a MS speaker. It was the Mobile Devices tour. (Can't remember what it was called exactly)
Anyway, they had some awesome stuff there, though it was a little PPC biases (MS speaker you know), but he was very curteous to Palm users, and some of the technologies were the same.
I got to see some really cool new stuff that isn't even out yet. Some wireless devices, new smart phones, stuff like that. This happened to be a big event, but I was talking to some of the organizers and they have meetings every month, although smaller, so I'm going to hit one of those.
So I just wanted to make a post here and turn some people on to it, because I know most of us are hardware geeks and love getting to see new stuff before it's released, etc. Besides, they gave away some spiffy free stuff.
I'm not going to link to the website or anything, don't want to offend anyone, and I don't know if they'd want me to do that or not. But I don't see why I can't give the general info of the meeting to everyone here.
It's December 11th from 7pm-9pm at MS building 117, Chinook room. The actual st. addy is 3850 148th Ave NE, Redmond, 98052.

I may bump this a couple times, met some cool people / contacts last time, I hope to meet a few more this time.
