I like it when they say "it's only 90 light years away LOL

considering that Voyager I has been gone for 25 years and is travelling at a speed of about 17.3 kilometers per second that means that it's approximately 7 minutes of a light year away. Let's just says that 90 light years is far away.

Pioneer 10 is about one light-day from Earth (after 30 years)

Pioneer 10 distance from Sun : 83.25 AU Speed relative to the Sun: 12.210 km/sec (27,317 mph) Distance from Earth: 12.59 billion kilometers (7.83 billion miles) (Round-trip Light Time = 23 hours 20 minutes)

After over 30 years, it appears that Pioneer 10 has sent its last signal to Earth. The power source on Pioneer 10 finally degraded to the point where the signal to Earth dropped below the threshold for detection in its latest contact attempt on 7 February 2003. No more attempts at contact are planned at this time. The previous three contacts had very faint signals with no telemetry received. Pioneer's last, very weak signal was received on 23 January 2003. The last time a Pioneer 10 contact returned telemetry data was on 27 April 2002.

You know... I used to have an engineer that worked for me that was SO geeky, he actually calculated the speed of light in furlongs per fortnight. :Q

Just thought I'd toss that in. ;)
