Heh, i've been following that! My Server Case mod project log is there too!
That guy (ZapWizzard), works for AMD, has been working on the Opteron processors, and he is a total electronic guru! I can't believe what he's done to his little iPAQ! I'm using mine totally standard, for my in-car MP3 computer!
Now that is just freaking awesome! I haven't got past the first page yet, so I have only seen the concept drawings, but if his finished product looks anything like that, it will be nothing short of splendid.
I built a Custom X-10 Computer back in 1982, I had it running the house until June of 2000 when we moved up here on the Mountain and we got hit by lightning and it fried. I had a 2 MHZ Hitachi CPU with 1 Meg of Ram and 10 Meg Winchester Hard drive, I wrote the BIOS and OS in Assembly code, it was able to run 7 programs in 7 regions of memory at the same time and I was able to burn Eproms with an Eprom Interface I wired in at the same time. Those were the days.
<-- tried to learn assembly a long time ago when I had my IBM PS/1 with the 10 MHz 80286 and 1MB of RAM, but gave up when I got to the intricacies of MOV and INT.
