Latest news I just heard for x86 machines Intel AMD etc you can run Solarus on these systems. This has the potential for you to learn and later earn!!!!!!!!!!

The cost for this OS will be $99

I'm headed over to the Sun web site and see what I can find out.

Too bad it's not open source and free like linux is. Then I might even be opt to try it.

When they first released Solaris 8 for x86 last year, it used to be free (of cost). You could download it and burn a CD. Now you have to buy it...

I remember initial reports claiming that it was dog slow on a wintel platform. :Q 🙁

Of course I can't expect a Fortune 500 to stay that way by not charging, although they could try to make a dent in the windoze market by encouraging desktop Solaris use (which inturn could lead to that user recommending big Sun boxen running Solaris as the primary servers at their workplaces and get rid of the wintel junk in the backend)... 😉

Oh well... C'est la vie...

Just a note, Solaris x86 is supposed to be pretty bad. The HCL is pretty slim, and the hardware isnt the best so it will be quite painful.
