OT: April Fools Day ...

April 1, is a nice day. The sun i shining from a bright sky. It is (relatively) warm - +6 degrees C. The snow is melting, but the snow heaps are way too large - they will disappear in 2 weeks or so.

It is also April Fools day ...
I try to avoid being made a fool of - and have even sometimes succeeded but I also try to make others laugh.

In today's paper Dagens Nyheter (one of the largest in Sweden) is an article claiming that the European Union wants to regulate when those who work should have their vacation. The reason behind this is supposedly to distribute the tourism over time, to decrease the problems in the summer ... It is a good joke, including a site - very officially looking - where you can register your wishes for vacation and get them dened or granted ... Take a look here ... When getting to the form you are awarded with a "Got You!"

There are other jokes around ... let us know them!

I had in mind a prank on TeAm AnandTech, but I was talked out of it.
I wanted to set up a dummy DPAD TeAm AnandTech page with only one member listed, but with the entire team's totals.

The member of course would have been: [TA]FLOPS Slingers.

Since Stephen Brooks allows recoding of names on request, I thought it would be easy to do.

The plan was to place a dummy link to the team page. All the other stuff would work normally.

My friend talked me out of doing this before I could even check with Stephen Brooks to see if he would be willing to do this.

I would think that it would require a few days to create the page and the links, and to test it all so it wouldn't bring his server down. Maybe, next year!
