OT - Anyone use quickbooks?

I just got myself a copy and wanted to ask those with experience a question. Should I buy a book to help me out with this thing, or just dig in and play around? This is for my home business and my wifes "consulting" business. I dug in a bit, but this thing is pretty daunting for one who has never seen it before! So whaddya think?
 
I haven't used QB in quite some time, but at the time that I was installing it for a client(ie. neighbor), I only needed to glance at the manual to set things up. It was fairly easy to go though - the wizards/helpers were pretty good. Even tech support was pretty responsive when we needed some support for some corrupted records.
 
Thanks networkman. I think I have everything set up right, but just getting around everything in 2003 seems a little much for me right now. But I will sleep on it and play around some more, maybe it will all start to make sense. LOL
 
Quickbooks is a powerful application...

My wife runs her business with it - over 20 employees, and some significant billing, AR, AP, etc.

"Quickbooks for dummies" is a pretty good read. 😉
