OT: Anyone near Norcross, Ga?

I'm going to be there tomorrow and Friday for training, and I'll be heading back to Columbus Saturday morning. So if any of you TAers are near there and want to drop by Thursday or Friday night, PM me.

I think Norcross is about 35 minutes north of Atlanta, Ga.

I AM getting old, as I've known about this trip for a bit, but it just dawned on me tonight to see about getting together with TA folks. Sorry for the short notice, DOH!

I live just a bit west of there, in Roswell. I was actually supposed to go pick up some new computers in Norcross this morning, but those guys are delivering them to me instead.

Unfortunately, I've got to head downtown tonight to help my brother out, and I'll be going out of town at noon tomorrow. Let me know if you come to town again, though.

Yep, as LastKnight indicated 'Planning helps!' I've been sitting around the NE Atlanta area for nearly 3 months and as soon as I head back to work (out of state) you plan your visit! Just my luck!

Norcross may be close to Atlanta, but you can only make the trip in 35 minutes between midnight and 5:00 AM! Good luck and hope you enjoy the visit!

Yeah, figures about the timing. Lot's of other stuff going on, so I wasn't really focused on the trip until I had to start getting ready, then it was DOH!

My bad, I promise I'll give more warning next time.

Where in Atlanta does Dave McOwen live? Haven't heard from him yet, so there is always hope.

Oh, and it took us 45 to 50 minutes to get from the airport to the training site. Gotta love that express lane!

Dave is off I-85 between Braselton and Oakwood. It is over 40 miles from where you are. He is currently working on a project that has him very busy. He leaves home at 6:00 AM and gets back as late as 9:00 or 10:00 PM. But, he is a trooper and if he sees this he will try and get in touch. You might send him PM or email with your hotel info. As Donna said to me as we were driving to meet Dennis last night, we are slowly getting meet one person at a time just the tip of the iceberg of so many that would like to Thank in person for what so many of you did for both me and Donna.

It was great to get to meet Dave and Donna McOwen in person. It gets me angry all over again to think that such a terrible thing happened to such a nice couple. :| Made me want to go find Thurbert & his thugs and beat them repeatedly with my "you're a bad man" cane. :| But I take comfort in knowing that one day they will reap what they've sown.

We got together for dinner Friday night, and the honor was mine. I had a great time breaking bread together, and getting to know them. I would have liked to have had more time to visit, but I am so grateful for the time they took out of their busy schedule to drive 40 minutes to meet me after a long day of work.

Dave and Donna are truly an inspiration, and great role models, may your future be bright and strong, and may you fulfill your dreams.
