as a java based virus or trojan?
I happened to check my Norton firewall stats earlier today and C:\WINDOWS\system32\java.w had sent and received hundreds of megs of info to 63.203.128.164:32779.
I've done a complete system scan with Norton AV but it didn't find anything.
😕

But after visiting http://66.203.128.164/ I can not help but think it might a DC project you are running that simply uses java.

The only programs I am running at the minute use their own java.exe and not javaw.exe
ie Porivo\jre\bin\java.exe which is why I was a bit concerned, and of course, I can't get to 63.203.128.164 🙁

I have three of those file on my machine. One for TSC, one for d2ol, and one in my system32 folder. I'm not sure what the one in the system32 folder is for. Someone must know?

Doing a whois I get this

ac Bell Internet Services PBI-NET-7 (NET-63-192-0-0-1)
63.192.0.0 - 63.207.255.255
DALI INC SBCIS-100323-174436 (NET-63-203-128-160-1)
63.203.128.160 - 63.203.128.167

# ARIN WHOIS database, last updated 2003-07-27 19:15
# Enter ? for additional hints on searching ARIN's WHOIS database.

So it looks like a DSL account under pacbell.

If it were a virus/trojan it's pretty balsy of them to statically map an ip. Are you on pacbell? It might be a troubleshooting app they provide. May want to run adaware, alot of those apps have shady EULA's and actually fall into the spyware catagory.

I know what it is now, the DALI INC gives it away.
I used to run something called DALiWorld now and again.
I had recently reinstalled it because I was bored.
I had quit the program but the javaw.exe part must have kept running 😱
I tried checking the ip address but I missed the DALI part and I didn't catch on 😱 😱
Thanks for saving me a worry 😀
