My parents has shipped me a box of good clothes from PA to VA which is where i live right now as I need dress-shirts to wear to work and stuffs. They shipped it via standard mail via USPS on March 2nd, 2004. It tooks so long to get here that alarmed me something went wrong. The package finally arrived yesterday. My mailmand handed it to me in person and told me the box was damaged, it stamped no-content all over the place on the box so on and so forth.

But there was no sign of the box being damage. My parents had it in a nice box, and wrap around it with a white paper to write the address on it. When i opened the damn box, there was a can of slim fast sits right inside. I was like WTF, why the hell on earth would they send me a can of slim fast for? Immediately i called them to verify and yet USPS fawked up my shipment. Unfortunately my parents doesn't speak english very well so they didn't insure it plus it was just clothes they didn't think of situation like this.

I called up USPS and they dicked me around. pretty much they said you ain't insure we ain't helping.

That's totally wrong of them. How could my package damage when it doesn't even tear or wear an;ywhere on the box? and how did that slim fast can get in there?

so goodbye to USPS i'd never ship anything with them every again. They suck A**!

if its important, insure it. otherwise, take it in your stride.

Yup! Your parents didn't insure the package, that is what insurance is for....

Have fun buying new clothes!

it's so obvious reading his post...

he's an engrish teacher

and btw...the reason you got a slim fast can in the box was because someone in the post office cut your box open, took out what was in there, and replaced it with something else.

Happens quite frequently I should mention. I've got a good friend who was a manager for a UPS terminal and some of the stories he can relate are wild.

I once shipped about 20 lbs. of books in a box USPS, the person on the other end received a box with approximately 2 lbs of plastic plates, forks and spoons. I have no idea what happend, but it was insured luckily. About $150 worth of books in there.

Exactly. Happens all the time. People don't realize how much theft goes on from employees of USPS, FedEx, UPS, etc. Always buy insurance. It's usually pretty cheap. Like 65 cents per $100. Tell your parents not to be so cheap next time!
