Well... It was not without some trepidation that I gave up (temporarily) on re-entering the I.T. arena after some 12 years of successful upward mobility before HP cut me off at the knees.

I can at least report that today - I sold not one, but TWO vehicles... on the heels of a deal I did two days ago. 🙂

When actually SELLING (not "waiting") - I can at least report that my income FAR exceeds that of I.T. The operative word is "selling." 😉

Hopefully it'll be temporary - but if this trend continues.... who gives a sh!t? 😉
 
glad all is well and you are somewhat happy at your new job........sounds like you are good at selling.....keep it up and make a mint........
 
Sold Hondas for a year and a half, and the income was pretty good, I can confirm. Problem was I was doing it in Phoenix, AZ, and summertime can be brutal (had one helluva tan, though). 🙂

Not my type of job, and was something to fill the time, because I wanted a break from what I was doing previously.
 
Thanks guys... It was a tough transition. I got used to my "mucky-muck" position - and I'm still not sure that this is the 'gig' for me - but I know there's people making over $18,000 a MONTH at our dealership - :Q

For that kind of scratch... I guess I could get over it. 😉
On the bright side - I'm only one deal behind the top producer from last month. I just need to get more folks in there to see me.

So - all you employed geek peeps - get your arses in and buy cars and trucks from me! 😉
