OT: a little help in my Networking thread please?

have any of the services been turned off?
server and computer browser are the ones you definitely need for networking.

Thanks, I went in and turned off some of the remote services but left the important ones on for her.
I've got a few XP machines here and they all work like a charm, it's difficult to say why she is having this problem except that she had the XP firewall on and the firewall that came with her AV software on, I had her turn those off.
She can get to files on the 98 & ME boxes so it's really an issue between the XP & 2K machines.
She also had the IP V6 thing installed, I had her remove that just in case.
