Imagine...3 devices: Mac, Bluetooth headset, modem.

1) Is it possible (should it be possible) to connect your Mac to the wall via a modem and
2) use your bluetooth headset to answer and talk on the phone, and
3) use your Mac (software) to dial a number

Not really. I can't imagine how that would be very useful, especially with cordless landlines as ubiquitous/cheap as they are now. Also, when you factor in that a lot of people are ditching landlines altogether in favor of cell phones, I can't imagine spending time on something with so little upside.

unlikely but you used to be able to do it with OS 8 or 9.
seriously thish is the software that did it 7 years ago sans blue tooth.

gwag, that's exactly what I was looking for and more! I knew they had to have it out there but my search didnt bring it up. Parliant's PhoneValet looks awesome!

Let us know what you get and how it works. I'm interested to see how useful it is and how well it really works.
